Therapy Dog Unit Facilitator Volunteers

Improving lives on a daily basis, the St. John Ambulance therapy dog program brings joy and comfort to the sick, lonely and those who need a friendly visit.

St. John Ambulance is searching for Volunteer Facilitators for the Therapy Dog Unit in Vernon and surrounding area. Volunteer Facilitators would be responsible for coordinating and administering the program. Commitment will vary depending on the time of the year and can be anywhere from 10-20 hours per month. Can work from home, scheduling is very flexible. Other responsibilities include ensuring prospective participants attend an orientation, conducting the orientations, forwarding complete applications to Provincial Headquarters, and on-going monitoring of the program.
